Arts Murihiku chairperson Rebecca Amundsen has spotted the removal of an arts and creativity project allocation in the Invercargill City Council’s long-term plan.

A Southland arts leader has acknowledged some concerns following the Invercargill City Council’s removal of an arts budget in its proposed long-term plan.

In 2018 the Invercargill City Council included $14 million as part of its 2018-2028 long-term plan to build a new arts and creativity hub in the city.
