Leipert Motorsport have confirmed that the Wegberg-based team will once again compete in the Asian Le Mans Series with a Lamborghini GT3 Evo2 with regular drivers Brendon Leitch (NZ), Gabriel Rindone (IT) and Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli (IT).
"I'm very happy to be announced in the team to compete in the Asian Le Mans Series," Leitch, the Southlander, said. "It will be great teaming up again with Gabby (Rhindone) and Marco (Mapelli)."
Both Leitch, Rindone and Mapelli competed together with Leipert Motorsport at the beginning of the year in the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series finishing a creditable fourth overall in the GT category.
After initially getting off to a less than desirable start, the teammates twice finished third on the podium in the final round, the results propelling them up the leaderboard to finish fourth overall.
"After a successful debut in the Asian Le Mans Series at the beginning of this year with two podium finishes and fourth place overall, we will once again be competing in the highly competitive series with our competitive driver line-up," commented Marcel Leipert, Leipert Motorsport Managing Director.
"After narrowly missing out on the overall podium last season, our goal this year is clear. We want to finish on the podium! Once again, we are delighted about the trustful cooperation with Lamborghini Squadra Corse."
The series gets underway at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia with two races in early December before one race at the Dubai Autodrome in the UAE in early February with the final two races in Abu Dhabi a week later.
