Councillor 'disturbed' by colleagues' comments at public meeting
Comments made at a public meeting by Mayor Nobby Clark and another councillor have prompted a strongly worded email from fellow elected member Lesley Soper.
Invercargill city councillor Lesley Soper has taken aim at two of her council colleagues for controversial views expressed at a recent public meeting.
Mayor Nobby Clark and Invercargill councillors Barry Stewart and Ian Pottinger attended a New Zealand Taxpayers Union and Federated Farmers event in Invercargill this month.
Comments made at the meeting by Clark and Stewart have since prompted a strongly worded email from Soper, who is a former Labour MP.
