Councillor-Mayor clash: He told me to sit there and do nothing

An Invercargill City Councillor says Mayor Nobby Clark, at the start of the term, told her to “sit there and do nothing” because he didn’t need her vote.
Councillor Ria Bond also believes Clark has returned too quickly following heart surgery and that the wheels were “starting to fall off” with 18 months until the next council election.
Although Clark described Bond’s comments as “outrageous” and says the councillor hasn’t raised any of those issues with him personally.
