Deputy Mayor asked to be replaced, but matter quickly resolved
“This I believe will now be the most contentious issue for the remainder of this Triennium, and in the end will define your mayoralty."
Tom Campbell suggested to Invercargill Mayor Nobby Clark in March he should be replaced as his deputy mayor following a supposed disagreement over Clark’s Three Waters approach.
Although that change in deputy mayor never happened. Campbell now acknowledges he misunderstood the situation, and the matter was resolved within a few hours.
