Lachlan Albert put the feelers out to see if there was interest in New Zealand. Following a conversation with Rugby Southland director of rugby Matt Saunders he decided to have a crack in Southland.
A former Australian schoolboys and under-20 halfback has arrived in Invercargill ready to stake his claim for some NPC game time with the Southland Stags later this year.
Lachlan Albert was an Australian Schoolboys representative in 2018 and 2019. He was also selected in the Australian Under-20 squad in 2020 and 2021 but Covid-19 meant he never got a chance to play at that level.
