Xmas in the Park returns to Queens Park on Sunday bringing the community together for a day of live entertainment, food, market stalls, and festive cheer.
Hosted by MASSAV Productions, in partnership with Still Mums Charity, the much-loved event is one of the highlights of the holiday season in Invercargill.
Blair Savory, of MASSAV Productions, said: “Xmas in the Park is about celebrating our community, showcasing incredible local talent, and kicking off the festive season in style. It’s a fantastic day out for all ages.”
The entertainment lineup features local favourites, including The Diagonals, Oli Cameron, Lachie Hayes, Kayla Mahon and Simon Thompson, Highland Storm, Arun O’Connor, The Ensemble and Friends with Ascot Park Brass Band, and El Scratcho.
The event will also include over 30 market stalls with unique crafts and gifts, a dedicated kids’ entertainment area with activities for tamariki, and an array of food trucks serving everything from BBQ and sweet treats to classic fish and chips, burgers, and more. Santa will also be there to spread the Christmas cheer.
“We’re very grateful for the support of SBS Bank, ILT Foundation, the Invercargill City Council, Community Trust of Southland, ILT and More FM for giving the community an early Xmas present by helping make this event possible,” Savory said.
