Invercargill mayor stands firm on mana whenua attendance at AGM
A mana whenua representative is happy to make her own way to July's LGNZ AGM but Invercargill's mayor Nobby Clark isn't keen on that.
Invercargill’s Mayor is standing firm on his stance that mana whenua representatives should not attend Local Government New Zealand’s AGM in July.
At a recent Invercargill City Council meeting mana whenua representative Evelyn Cook expressed her disappointment that she hadn’t been provided any information about LGNZ’s AGM last year, and to date that had also been the case this year.
