Local businesses rally behind Hospice Southland fundraiser
“We are truly touched by the incredible generosity of our community and our local businesses. It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together to support Hospice Southland."
In an impressive display of community spirit and support, Southland businesses have rallied together to donate an array of fantastic summer holiday equipment and accessories for Hospice Southland’s upcoming Family Summer Holiday Raffle.
Hospice Events Coordinator Suzanne Prentice is thrilled with the overwhelming generosity of local businesses, with our local Mitre 10 Mega stepping forward as a key partner, donating some of the sought-after prizes.
Prentice added; “It’s just wonderful to think one lucky family is going to have a fantastic summer full of fun. All thanks to our committed and generous local businesses.”
This is their biggest raffle to date with a total prize value of well over $6000. The prize pool for this $5 a ticket raffle includes a four-burner gas BBQ, a family of four size tent, a family trip to the Glow Worm Caves in Te Anau, a paddleboard, a family trip on the Kingston Flyer, a beautiful outdoor sun umbrella, outdoor folding chairs to laze the day away, a $1000 New World gift card, a $500 fuel card and a multitude of holiday fun accessories, all contributed by Southland businesses who recognise the vital role played by Hospice Southland in providing free-of-charge, compassionate end-of-life care and support to our community.
