Tevita Latu made an impressive return from injury in the Southland Stags’ preseason hitout in Te Anau on Saturday.

Notch it up as another solid day out for Southland rugby.

Encouraging results, picturesque ground, and a relatively injury-free 120 minutes of rugby.

The Southland Stags held their first of two preseason fixtures on Saturday in Te Anau ahead of their NPC competition opener against Waikato in Invercargill on Sunday, August 6.

They beat the Southland Development team 31-7 over 40 minutes before dispatching Heartland province North Otago 38-7 in the next 40 minutes.

Encouragingly for Southland rugby the Southland Development then went on beat North Otago 26-19 when they square-off for 40 minutes.

Logan Savory wraps up the action.
