Some people went after the Southland Racing Club and its president Sean Bellew for agreeing to provide the Stop Co-Governance organisors with a venue. One 'adult discussion' confirmed they were wrong.

On Saturday morning I bumped into a person who you could say has a prominent profile in Invercargill.

I’m not going to mention the person’s name because at that time it was a simple chit-chat about various matters.

Amongst other things, he suggested we - our community - are fast losing the ability to have an adult discussion.

That hit home. It made sense.

And just hours after that unplanned conversation a prime example was delivered.
