The Southland Sharks have provided the orange army with a treat in its final home game outing of the 2024 Sal’s NBL campaign.
The Sharks hosted the Tauranga Whai at ILT Stadium Southland on Friday night to bring the curtain down on its games in Invercargill before finishing the season with four games on the road.
It’s been a tough 2024 season with the Sharks winning just one from 15 games heading into that game against on Whai.
But on Friday the Sharks provided their hometown faithful with something to smile about and a reason to return to ILT Stadium Southland come 2025.

Callum McRae continue to show his improvements in the second half of the season with a strong showing against Whai, while American import Caleb Asberry turned in one of his better performances since joining the Sharks.
The question for the Sharks is if they can now string decent back-to-back performances together.
Their next assignment will be against the Nelson Giants in Nelson on Sunday.
