Dunn returns home for 100th game
There’s a slight irony to Aliyah Dunn sporting Steel colours for her 100th ANZ Premiership game. The talented Southlander made her debut in the elite national league with the Steel in 2017 and played just two games before being quickly lured north to ply her trade with the Pulse from 2018 to 2022 and the Tactix for the past two seasons. 16-year stay: Finding a rugby home at Edendale
Phillip Brown can thank his old James Hargest College schoolmate Karl Laurence for his 16-year Southland club rugby journey. When Brown returned to Southland in 2008 - after he finished up at the New Zealand Police College - Laurence, who was playing for Edendale, quickly hit Brown up. (READ MORE HERE).

Southland Sharks' next home game postponed
The Southland Sharks’ next scheduled home game at ILT Stadium Southland won’t go ahead. The Sharks were scheduled to take on the Indian Panthers in Invercargill on Wednesday night, but New Zealand Basketball League officials confirmed on Friday that the game had, as expected, been postponed. Tears of joy as junior driver notches up first victory
Natasha Kyle’s first win in the sulky with Tash’s Bad Girl was just about perfect. The victory came at her home track, behind a horse named after her, and she produced a pinpoint drive to break through for win number one. (READ MORE HERE).
