Defending champs Appleby get the job done again
Invercargill-Old Boys’ attempt to get one back over Appleby has come up short. Appleby has won a tight round four ILT Premier League game against Invercargill-Old Boys played at Appleby on Saturday. It was a repeat of the 2022-2023 final played in March and again it was Appleby who came away with the honours. (READ MORE HERE).
Southland lawn bowlers impress in Hong Kong….
The Southland combination of Sheldon Bagrie-Howley and Craig Tinker has been in standout form in Hong Kong on their way to the final of the 2023 Hong Kong International Bowls Classic.
Representing New Zealand, Bagrie-Howley and Tinker, will take on Malaysia in the final tonight at 7pm (NZ time).
They beat England in the quarter-final and then toppled Ireland in the semifinal on the way to making the decider.
The final will be live-streamed on YouTube through the Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China account.
