Stadium Southland finances 'okay' but increase in revenue required
A Southland Indoor Leisure Centre Trust board member says the stadium probably needed another $100k to $150k annually and there is a three-year window to get to that point.
ILT Stadium Southland officials need to increase its revenue by $100,000 to $150,000 over the next three years, although they won’t be hitting up ratepayers to make it happen.
Southland Indoor Leisure Centre Charitable Trust owns the stadium and one of its board members Darren Frazer - who is also a Southland District Councillor - provided his fellow councillors with an update on the venue on Wednesday.
The Southland District Council provides $75,000 annually to the stadium. In previous years the stadium board has requested that the Southland District Council increase that to $150,000, but the council declined.
