Take a bow Marshall Erwood, Southland cyclist in hot form
Competing in the junior men’s racing Marshall Erwood claimed two titles in the elimination and scratch race at the Oceania Track Cycling Championships.

Southland cyclist Marshall Erwood reaffirmed his status as not just a rising Southland cycling star but also an immense talent in the national ranks on Saturday.
Erwood won two titles at the Oceania Track Cycling Championships being held in Brisbane.
Competing in the junior men’s racing Erwood claimed gold in the elimination and scratch race.
The elimination race is where the last rider goes out in sprints every two laps.
Erwood won the final sprint over teammate James Gardner to claim the title with Maui Morrison fourth and Magnus Jamieson fifth.
Erwood did not stop there, claiming the sprint finish to win the junior men’s scratch race over 10km ahead of teammate Austin Norwell with seven New Zealand riders in the top-10.
