The Southern Steel will make the trip to Hamilton to take on the Waikato/BOP Magic in a round 10 ANZ Premiership showdown on Monday night. Check out some of the interesting numbers heading into the game.
• When the teams last met in Round 5 the Magic defeated the Steel 54-45 in Rotorua.
• The Magic and Steel have met 22 in the ANZ Premiership with the Steel winning 15 and the Magic seven.
• The Steel and Magic have met 43 times since 2008 with the Steel winning 22 and the Magic 21.
• The Magic have won the past five meetings between the teams.
• The Magic have played 30 previous ANZ Premiership matches at GLOBOX Arena for a record of 13 wins and 17 losses. The Magic and Steel have met in six meetings at the venue and both teams have won three matches each.
• The Magic are coming off a 42-60 loss to the Tactix in Hamilton in Round 9 and have a record of four wins, five losses and one bonus point to sit in fourth place on the ladder.
• The Steel are coming off a 46-63 loss to the Stars in Auckland in Round 9 and have a record of two wins and seven losses to sit at the bottom of the ladder.
