The Southland Arts Trail is back for its second year, offering an exclusive peek behind the scenes of creativity throughout Murihiku Southland.
From October 6 to 23, Arts Murihiku invites you to embark on a self-guided tour through the region, exploring galleries, guilds, and open studios of all flavours. Pick-your-path based on your own creative curiosity from a map that includes musicians, weavers, ceramists, painters, and more.
Art enthusiasts can truly create their own experience. Maybe one weekend you'll head to Te Anau, weaving through studios and galleries in Riverton and Tuatapere along the way. The next, you might uncover the creative gems in Waikaia and Gore.
And it’s not just the weekends filled with goodness — throughout the Southland Arts Trail there are opportunities to engage, listen, watch, and let your own creativity unfold.
The creatively curious can expect a programme of exciting events. The Southland Arts Trail is about more than just visiting artists in their studios; it's about becoming part of Murihiku's flourishing creative community.
