New TV series: Should Gore be nervous?
A new six-part comedy series called nOOb will premiere on Thursday night on Three and its streaming platform ThreeNow - and there’s a notable Southland connection attached to it. (READ MORE HERE).
Jacob Duffy in line for test debut in India
Jacob Duffy has been called into the Black Caps squad for their test series against India in India starting today. Duffy will depart for India this morning with coach Gary Stead saying there is “every chance” he will make his test debut in the second or third test. (READ MORE HERE).
Te Anau restaurant owner taking skills to global stage
It’s 20 years since Southland’s Cameron Davies graduated with his cookery qualification from what is now Ara Institute of Canterbury. But last week he was back on campus cooking up a storm as he prepares for the prestigious Global Chef competition in Singapore. (READ MORE HERE).
Clay target shooter back from junior worlds
“We went out for an evening meal which looked good on the menu. I got Google translate out and it said steak and chips. It looked like steak so I had a bite and it was very chewy…. In the end it turned out to be chicken gizzards - if you do not know, it is the muscle which moves the stomach to digest the food. Turns out I don’t like chicken gizzards.” (READ MORE HERE).
