Collier to make New Zealand return with Sharks
Rangiora’s Hayden Collier is the newest Southland Shark with the 2.1-metre forward signing for the 2025 Sal’s New Zealand Basketball League season. Collier comes to the Sharks after seven years in North America where he spent his final two years of high school in Wyoming followed by a five-year span at University of Regina in Canada. Rugby Park return: Steven Hayes is well accustomed to playing at Rugby Park in Invercargill. He was once a wiry Southland loosehead prop who famously was a thorn in the side for an all All Black Auckland frontrow of Craig Dowd, Sean Fitzpatrick, and Olo Brown. On Thursday he will be back playing at Rugby Park, this time alongside son Lachie in a different capacity. (READ MORE HERE).
