The Tui Toiler has been given the green light to resume racing at the Riverton Easter meeting.Â
He passed the second of two required trials at Ashburton today [Thursday], competing in a four-horse open heat over 1000 metres.Â
Trainer Stephen Blair-Edie said The Tui Toiler "went good ... he followed them around."
Gosen Jogoo rode The Tui Toiler into fourth place.
The Tui Toiler was required to trial twice to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again after running off in a race at Gore on March 12.Â
He did his first test at the Riccarton trials on March 21.
Blair-Edie was forced to make two trips to Canterbury to trial because there are none held in Southland or Otago, only jumpouts.
Blair-Edie is not sure what day he will race The Tui Toiler at Riverton. The gelding is entered for Saturday and Monday. A decision will be made after Blair-Edie got the gelding home to Birchwood.
