Town-Country: The players with the most to play for
The three Town-Country games will act as important trial fixtures for representative rugby teams, including the Southland Stags.

The Town-Country rugby day will be held at Rugby Park in Invercargill tomorrow [Monday]. Although probably more importantly the three games will act as important trial fixtures for representative teams, including the Southland Stags.
There has been a player-of-origin type element added to it this year. Those at Rugby Southland HQ have attempted to make sure there were even teams rolled out, and at the same time the players they want to have a look at were all included.
The day is hoped to be a big step up from a Southland premier club rugby fixture to see how certain players respond.
Below we take a look at what will be on offer at Rugby Park on Monday, including the players with the most to play for, players to keep an eye on, game details, and the teams.
THE DETAILS
Three games will be played at Rugby Park in Invercargill - women, colts, and men.
It will start with the women’s game at 1.30pm, before the colts lineup at 3.30pm.
The senior men’s Town-Country showdown will kick-off at 5.30pm.
Entry will be a gold coin at Gate 3 with no glass or dogs in the venue.
