The Heart of the City column - in partnership with Invercargill Central - puts a focus on inner city Invercargill and reaffirms the area's status as the heart of the city.
Great to see this redevelopment take place. Lower Esk Street was such a dismal place before, with those derelict buildings. Nice to see a couple of the older ones retained and renovated.
What a different area this is now it's going to look beautiful once finished, thankyou Geoff people like you are bringing our city up to date and will bring in tourists that will help our shops etc, well done.
Good luck Geoff as it's been a long road getting a Distinction hotel built in Invers. I book Distinction for any stays in Dunedin or Christchurch as can always rely on the same level of service, cleanliness and elegant beautiful decor everytime. And, Let's not forget how hard the ILT worked to keep a local from building a new hotel https://www.stuff.co.nz/southland-times/news/3737861/ILT-ICC-ties-thwarted-hotel-plan-developer
