Southland Boys’ High School v Christchurch Boys’ High School - Saturday, 12pm - Les George Oval
The Southland Boys’ first XV will host Christchurch Boys’ on Saturday for the right to be crowned South Island secondary schoolboy rugby champions.
Southland Boys’ beat Otago Boys’ to progress as the winner of the Highlanders region, while Christchurch Boys’ will represent the Crusaders region in the final after it beat Nelson College.
Up the road in Christchurch, Southland Girls’ High School will also playoff for a South Island title on Saturday.
Southland Girls’ High School will take on Christchurch Girls’ High School in the South Island girls’ secondary schools final.

Southland v Wellington, Ranfurly Shield challenge - Saturday, 2.05pm - Sky Sport
The Southland Stags’ class of 2023 get a chance to write their names into Southland sporting folklore when they take on Wellington in a Ranfurly Shield challenge on Saturday afternoon.
Few are giving Southland a chance, but few also gave Kiwi a chance when it was dead last during the 1983 Melbourne Cup and went on to win.
Give it heaps boys.
