Phillip Norman: Surfers Paradise tour to 200-game milestone
Phillip Norman will on Saturday bring up game No 200 for the Wyndham Rugby Club’s senior team. He will become just the 10th player in the club’s 123-year history to do so, and just the third back. The other two backs are Selwyn Winter and Aaron Davidson. (READ MORE HERE).

New Zealand v Wales Under-20 rugby - 2am, Sunday - Sky Sport
If you’re not a big fan of sleep, or maybe just coming home after a late one, settle in and watch Southland’s very own Jack Taylor line up in the Under-20 World Cup Championship in South Africa.
Taylor will start at hooker for the New Zealand Under-20 team against Wales in their first pool match of the tournament.
Another Southland lad, Will Stodart, (who unfortunately is attached to Otago) will start at lock for the New Zealand U20 team against Wales.

SBHS v John McGlashan College first XV rugby - 11.45am, Saturday - at Southland Boys’
They say the best rugby to watch is at a school level, and it’s hard to argue that. Check it out for yourself.
The Southland Boys’ High School first XV is hosting John McGlashan College from Dunedin in an Otago Secondary Schools clash on Saturday at 11.45am.
This is where you’ll spot some next generation players emerge, with names like Rutledge and Muliaina in the mix.
