Southland Sharks v Auckland Tuatara - Saturday, 7pm - SKY Sport
We’ve got your Saturday night viewing sorted. The Southland Sharks will take on the Auckland Tuatara in an all-important Sal’s NBL showdown. (Given the tight nature of the competition every game is important now right?)
The Sharks sit seventh in the standings as they push for a top-six play-off spot.
As if one game of Sharks basketball on the box isn’t a treat, Southland will back up less than 24 hours later to play the Franklin Bulls at 6pm on Sunday night.

Eastern-Northern Barbarians v - Saturday, 3pm - Gore Showgrounds
Can the Barbarians keep its 2023 unbeaten run in Southland’s premier club rugby competition alive? Can Pirates-Old Boys bounce back from a disappointing loss to Woodlands?
All will be revealed at the Gore Showgrounds on Saturday.
In other premier club fixtures on Saturday, Star will host Midlands at Waverley Park and Blues and Marist will meet at Blues.

45 points: Kendle joins Kevin Braswell as Sharks record-holder
It was a bittersweet type of Saturday night for American Jeremy Kendle. The American yet again inked his name into the Southland Sharks record books. Kendle’s 45-point haul against the Taranaki Airs at ILT Stadium Southland equalled the record for the most points scored by a Sharks player in a single game. (READ MORE HERE).
