Review underway: Who will coach the Southland Stags in 2024?
The Southland Stags’ sights have quickly switched to 2024 which will include sorting who will coach the team next season. The Stags finished its NPC season with a 37-12 victory over Manawatu which meant its 2023 record sat at one win-one draw-eight losses. The season reviews have started this week. (READ MORE HERE).

Remembering the knock at door that led to successful rally combo
Geoff Lange was an experienced co-driver who had driven in National Championship rallies before he met Barry Robinson and their rallying combination was born. Geoff will be coming from Queenstown for the Wyndham Rally, named after Robinson, to watch Chris drive it as the Double Zero car. (READ MORE HERE).

Southland Festival of Running - Sunday, Oct 8 - Stead St Wharf start
Southland Harriers will again bring you the Southland Festival of Running on Sunday, 8 October 2023.
With the Ascot Park Hotel Southland Marathon, Shoe Clinic Invercargill 10 Mile, Southland Harriers 10km Run/Walk, and Ronald McDonald House 5km Run/Walk we have something to suit everyone in the family.
All events start and finish at the Stead St Wharf, Invercargill.

Run/Walk: 5km, 10km
Run: 10 Mile (16km), Marathon

Stag of the Year: Blair Ryall has cleaned up at the 2023 Southland Stags end-of-the-season awards evening. The ever-improving loose forward was on Wednesday night named both the Southland Stags Player of the Year and the Rugby Southland Supporters Club Player of the Year. (READ MORE HERE).
Take that Auckland: The province’s leading under-16 girls players were the talk of Southland football on Wednesday. The Southland United Under-16 team claimed a South Island title in Dunedin. (READ MORE HERE).
