Leitch looking forward to Le Mans Cup finale in Portimão
Southland driver Brendon Leitch heads to Portugal this week for the final round of the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup (LMC). With usual co-driver Gerhard Watzinger side-lined with an injury, Leitch will be joined by Gregg Gorski competing in the #70 Crowdstrike Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO for the round at Algarve International Circuit, Portimão. Can Robyn’s Playboy win his fourth Tuapeka Cup having won it previously in 2019, 2020 and 2022?

Jersey change: Tour of Southland officials have ditched the traditional yellow tour leader’s jersey and replaced it with a new orange jersey for the 2023 race starting on October 29. Race director Glen Thomson said they had decided on the move to honour the support it had received from the event’s major sponsor SBS Bank. (READ MORE HERE).
Invercargill test: Take a moment and ponder this. Invercargill will host a New Zealand-Australia netball test tonight [Thursday]. It is a glorious anomaly in modern-day sport. It’s something Southlanders ought to reflect on proudly. It is also a major win for regional New Zealand. (READ MORE HERE).
