Hydro Half Marathon - Saturday, August 5
Starting at the location of the original Hydro Construction Village, the race crosses the Te Anau-Manapouri Highway and drops into Balloon Loop where it joins the Fiordland Trails Lake2lake track and heads on past Rainbow Reach, Horseshoe Bend and onto Queens Reach.
With Mt Titiroa behind you and the World Heritage Fiordland National Park to your left, the scenery will entertain even the seasoned runner. The route follows the Upper Waiau River before finally reaching the Lake Te Anau Control gates. From here along the lakefront trail, the finish line at the Marakura Yacht Club in Te Anau awaits.
