“This has been a disaster for us as a council, we’ve lost a lot of community faith around this. I’ll have to front a meeting next week and explain to people we won’t have the cameras available in December like we gave a commitment we would have. Invercargill’s average house value is now $475,000 - a 21% increase over the past three years. Updated values have been prepared for all 26,344 properties in the city by independent valuers Quotable Value (QV) on behalf of Invercargill City Council. (READ MORE HERE).

Three vote against: The Gore District Council voted nine-three in favour of having long-term CEO Steve Parry stay on in an interim role. Parry resigned last month and was due to finish on October 31.
