The Southland Dog Training Club held a championship event with about 80 entries at the weekend.
Three championships are held annually at the club's headquarters in Invercargill to test dogs' agility and obedience.
Judges from Hamilton, Christchurch (two) and Otatara were officiating.
Club vice-president and agility show secretary Sarah Aitken said the championships were good days out for owners and their dogs.
“It's a fun thing to do with your dog . . . you and your dog doing things together.”
