Why Southland is a gem…. Reason #62
(We think it’s worth reminding ourselves why Southland is such a special place, so that’s what we’ll do regularly)
Auld Farm Distillery is a premium New Zealand distillery based in Scotts Gap, Southland.
The site of Auld Distillery has been growing grain since 1883. About a quarter of the grain grown on the farm is now used in the distillery and the rest was used for stock feed.
That grain is used in its single malt whisky and other range of spirits. They say they are one of the few seed-to-sip, grain-to-glass, distilleries in the world. Contact them to arrange a tour.
