Why Southland is a gem…. Reason #64
(We think it’s worth reminding ourselves why Southland is such a special place, so that’s what we’ll do regularly)
Southland Kai. With the perfect amount of sunshine and rain, the region’s fertile plains and coastal waters produce many New Zealand delicacies, from world-famous meat and game to succulent seafood and the freshest, crunchiest vegetables. Whether raised or grown on the land, hunted, fished, or produced, Southland’s food story is connected to people and place. It really is the land of plenty, the ultimate Surf ‘n’ Turf destination. It is a race Boyd Wilson won in a Ford Falcon alongside Jordan Michels in 2018 while in 2021 Boyd and son Harry finished third in the Falcon. (READ MORE HERE).
