The H&J Smith Group has confirmed it is closing its historic Invercargill department store following a four-week consultation period. The store will be closed today (June 27) as staff deal with the news. (READ MORE HERE).

Congratulations Lynett Williams. At the weekend the Invercargill powerlifter won gold, silver, and bronze at the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games in berlin.
Williams’ gold medal came in the 84kg deadlift catergory when lifted 105kg.
Williams is coached by Sonia Manaena.

Stags’ Meet The Team Event - Monday, July 10, 3pm - Bluff Rugby Club
The SBS Bank Southland Stags will hold its first community event of the season at the Bluff Rugby Club in Bluff on Monday, July 10th, at 3pm.
Fans are warmly welcomed to witness the squad's official naming ceremony and enjoy the festivities. Players will be available to sign items, meet with fans, and engage in interactive activities. To make the event even more exciting for young rugby enthusiasts, kids are encouraged to come ready for some drills and skills with the players. Bunnings staff will cook a BBQ for all attendees.
