Invercargill’s new museum project is “tracking well” in regard to time, and those that have had a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-released design suggest it has the wow factor. However, it appears there are some concerns about whether the project’s current budget is sufficient on the back of rising costs. (READ MORE HERE).
Pride of the south called into Black Caps squad
Jacob Duffy has been called into the Black Caps T20 squad which will take on United Arab Emirates this week. Duffy, who started his cricketing journey in Southland, replaces Blair Tickner who has been withdrawn to allow him to be at home with his wife and newborn daughter. (READ MORE HERE).
Southland Stags prop could be World Cup-bound
Southland Stags prop Paula Latu has been called into the Tongan squad and could now line up at the Rugby World Cup starting in France next month. Injuries have struck the Tongan propping stocks with Latu called in for its test against Canada in Tonga on Tuesday. (READ MORE HERE).

The Southland Arts Trail is back for its second year, providing an opportunity for artists to open their doors to the public. Arts Murihiku invites emerging and established creatives, from all genres, guilds and galleries to get involved. (READ MORE HERE).
