Stags to play in one-off jersey for Hawthorndale Care Village
The Southland Stags are set to run out in a yet-to-be-revealed one-off playing jersey when they take on Bay of Plenty in Invercargill on Wednesday, September 27. The hope is the special jerseys will help raise plenty of money for The Hawthorndale Care Village. (READ MORE HERE).

Sheldon Bragrie-Howley has added yet another honour to his already impressive year. The Gore bowler has been named Bowls New Zealand’s men’s Player of the Year. (READ MORE HERE).
New Sam Cullen single on its way…
Southland musician Sam Cullen will soon release his next single called “the Cold Midwinter”.
Cullen, who is now based in Wellington, provided a sneak peek of the music video filmed at Rugby Park in Invercargill.

The garage sponsored the rally for many years when it was owned by Roger and Margaret Marshall in the '70s and ‘80s and with the rally resurrected the business will again be a sponsor of the event. (READ MORE HERE).

Southland Stags v Hawke’s Bay - Saturday, 2.05pm - Rugby Park, Invercargill
After two games away from home the Stags are back at Rugby Park for a Saturday afternoon game in Invercargill.
The Stags have knocked loudly on the door for their first win in 2023 without it opening. With your support that could change on Saturday.
Saturday’s game is “club round” where club rugby connections are being celebrated. People are encouraged to wear their club colours.
The national champion Southland Boys’ High School first XV will also be celebrated with a lap of honour at halftime.
