Update: Simon Patton’s Great Walk quest….
It’s one and a bit down for Invercargill man Simon Patton in his quest to complete five Great Walks in Southland in just five days.
It started yesterday (Thursday) morning when he knocked off the 33km Rakiura Track on Stewart Island.
He then flew back to Invercargill and headed straight to start the Humpridge Track.
The plan is to complete that today and then head for Te Anau to get ready to take on the Kepler Track on Saturday.
Patton has taken on the challenge as a personal adventure but is also raising money for Bowel Cancer New Zealand. You can donate by clicking here.
He initially set out to raise $5000 but to date has raised $15,000.

Keep up the good work Simon.
