A Southland Indoor Leisure Centre Charitable Trust board member says the stadium probably needed another $100k to $150k annually and there is a three-year window to get to that point. (READ MORE HERE).
Electricity pricing: Is Stewart Island fast becoming unaffordable?
Stewart Islanders are in a state of limbo as they await the formation of a new Government to help address the “urgent” electricity situation. Electricity on Stewart Island is three times higher than Invercargill, and with diesel to increase in December, it’s expected it will become even tougher for many to call Stewart Island home. Leitch prepares for Lamborghini Young Driver shootout after podium in World Finals
It’s been a stellar week for Southland’s Brendon Leitch competing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo competitions in Italy. First, Letich won the Super Trofeo Europe series Pro title then went on to finish third in the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals, a coming together of all three global Super Trofeo series including North America and Asia. Award adds 'mana, credibility' to Great South's net zero emission support
Great South’s support for a net zero emission goal by 2050 has been recognised with a win in the sustainability category at the Grand Business South Awards in Dunedin on Friday. (READ MORE HERE).

Appleby Cricket Club 125th - December 1 & 2
The Appleby Cricket Club will celebrate 125 years on December 1 & 2 and will also hold a special “The Older We Get, The Better We Were” event hosted by Jeff Wilson.

18 holes of Golf at Queens Park 12pm Format to be confirmed - Cost – Green fees. Light Refreshments will be available.
Function at Langlands Hotel with Guest Host – Jeff Wilson - 7pm. Cost $80, which includes selection of food platters and a complimentary drink on arrival (Limited spaces available).
