Kāhui Whetū - July 13, 5.30pm to 8.30pm - Gore Gardens
See the Gore Gardens transform as they are illuminated with a sparkling light display for Matariki. Make sure you wrap up cosy and warm, as this winter event takes full advantage of those dark, crisp and early nights.
After taking your #instaworthy pictures, head to the food trucks for some delicious hot kai. There’s neon face painting for the kids (and kids at heart), neon-painting under UV-lights and more.
This community event is free to attend and suitable for all ages. Meaning a constellation, Kāhui Whetū refers to the stars as a gathering of the people of the land.
